My Sunshine...

Hello again, friends!  It's Monday, so that means I get to share another creation with you that uses some fabulous stamps from the Great Impressions online store!  Today I'm sharing a fun card using one the *NEWEST* sentiments.  Take a peek...

I decided to use the sentiment, E876 My Sunshine, as my only stamping.  I just accented it with a couple of butterflies. :)  Liquid pearls were my embellishment of choice on this card--keeping it simple helped make the sentiment the star!

I just LOVE the way this turned out, and I hope you do, too!  Please let me know your thoughts by leaving a comment below for me to read. :)

That's all for me today, friends.  THANK YOU so much for stopping by to take a peek at my card!  I also would love for you to come and join our monthly challenge!  If you use a stamp from the Great Impressions online store, please link it up in our Customer Gallery, too!  Until next time, HUGS and happy stamping, friends! :)

Harry Wheelin' Around

August is coming to a close soon...most schools have started up again, and the garden- well at least the garden will still be providing me with juicy red tomatoes for another month!

Isn't this new E875 Harry with Daisies stamp adorable? I made my own digital sentiment again to go with it. I layered some grass edge punched cardstock with a bit of inking and tucked my image in behind. The bottom strip is ribbon and patterned paper. You've still got a few days to link up with our August challenge, I hope you'll come play along!

Thursdays with Toni

Hello!  Time for another Great Impressions card for you!

With this card, I used the B224 You Need Me sentiment.  It's a 3 line sentiment but I chopped it up (seriously--don't be afraid to Frankenstein your stamps!) and made it into one line so I could tuck it beneath my colorful houses. Do stop by my blog if you'd like to read more!

Don't forget about the GI monthly challenge!
You don't have to use GI stamps but it'd be totally awesome if you did!
Also, if you do use GI stamps, be sure to link up to the customer gallery to show us your fabulous work and for a chance to get a little year-end prize.

Happy Summer Days ...

Good morning and Happy Wednesday! Ruza here to share another project featuring the awesome Great Impressions Stamps.

Today's card features the Summer Days (D354) sentiment and Surf Boards (F476) stamps.

I did something a little different for this weeks project. First my card is 5" x 7-1/2". Second, my medium for coloring the images are watercolor markers, distress ink, gelatos, and a paint brush with water.

To start I colored the stamps with markers and stamped the images, and then I used a paint brush and water to move the ink around to get the watercolor look. I then put some colors on a palette and used a paint brush and water to create the shading around the images.

Here's another look at the Summer Days (D354) and Surf Boards (F476) stamps before I added them to my card ...

That is all for me today. I will be back next week with another project featuring some amazing stamps from Great Impressions! I hope you will check out our current Great Impressions Challenge, and if you use some Great Impressions stamps make sure you link them up in our Customer Gallery!

Until next week ... Enjoy!

Note Cards

Happy Tuesday!

A couple of little note cards and matching envelopes.

These were created using several Great Impressions stamps, C270 Butterfly Trio, D508 Fun Flower Border and E791 Sweet Sentiments.

I randomly stamped the flower border image all over on a larger piece of card stock and colored with Copic Markers.  Then I cut it in half creating smaller panels, one for each note card.   I also created 2 panels with texture using a Swiss Dots Embossing Folder.

Added my colored butterfly image and each sentiment to a piece of card stock, die cut using Classic Circles, layered onto a piece of lime green card stock die cut using the Scallop Circles.  A little bit of ribbon to dissect each panel and a few pretty pink rhinestones for accent.  I may make a few more of these note cards and perhaps a box as a gift set.  Everyone loves those!

You still have a few days to play along in the Great Impressions Monthly Challenge, Add A Sentiment.   Don't forget to upload any of your Great Impressions creations to our Customer Gallery......you may win some bonus prizes come year end just for being a loyal Customer!!!

Thanks for popping on in, so happy you did!

Enjoy~~

Seize the Daisies...

Hello again, friends!  It's Monday, so that means I get to share another creation with you that uses some fabulous stamps from the Great Impressions online store!  Today I'm sharing a fun card using one the *NEWEST* sentiments, and it is a pun!  I LOVE IT!  Take a peek...

I decided to use the sentiment, D507 Seize the Daisies, as the center of...a daisy!  I'm a pun lover, so it was inevitable. ;)  Some leaves were added to reinforce the floral idea, plus a few other goodies.  The sentiment was highlighted with some Sakura glitter gels pens, too.

I just LOVE the way this turned out, and I hope you do, too!  Please let me know your thoughts by leaving a comment below for me to read. :)

Beach Birds

Happiest Friday to you dear stamping friends from all of us on the Great Impressions DT!
Emily here today with another card to inspire you. This is a real quick one to put together, and perfect for any summer occasion.
You've probably seen those large 12x12 patterned papers that are made from photographs-they're usually nature shots:grass, wood, rocks, clouds...or beach as I used here!
It makes for a quick backdrop for my little "peeps" C381 Birds on the Beach on the water's edge. I stamped a row of them onto a sand printed paper and layered a bit of blue vellum underneath. Couldn't be easier:no coloring involved!

Thursday with Toni

Hello!  Welcome back to another Thursday with me on the Great Impressions blog!

For this card I used G481 Bicycle with Flowers and E149 Said the Butterfly.  Butterfly, you ask?  Yes, the sentiment stamp is another I Frankensteined to use only the part I wanted.  You really stretch your stamps this way and can come up with all sorts of fun combinations.

I think the two stamps really complement each other and make me think of summer and school break (remember the good ol' days when we had those?).  I added a die as impression plate with the tree background and mounted it on woodgrain cardstock.  Love it!

See you next week!  Toni

Don't forget about the upcoming GI monthly challenge!

Birdie Friends Hello ...

Good morning and Happy Wednesday! Ruza here to share another project featuring the awesome Great Impressions Stamps.

I really love the sweet Birdie Friends (G525). They are so happy and having FUN hanging out together. I truly enjoyed coloring the friends with my Copic Markers, and love that I was able to do some fussy cutting to make them look like they were truly sitting and hanging off of the branch.

I embossed the top half off the cardstock, added a strip of ribbon, stamped the Hello from the Hello Friends (B152) Sentiment, layered the friends on top, and put it all on my cardbase.

Here's another look at the  Birdie Friends (G525) stamp ...

Glittered Butterflies

Happy Tuesday!

This is a small little note card measuring 3.75" x 3.75" perfect to use as a sweet little gift card.  I used the Great Impressions stamp C270 Butterfly Trio.  I stamped the image numerous times using Tuxedo Black ink.  Then I colored all of the pretty little butterflies using Copic Markers.

I doused the entire panel with glitter, the sparkle is so much prettier in real life.  Using a lacy square die, I threaded my ribbon through and tied a little bow topped with a hot pink rhinestone.  I also stamped the Butterfly Trio onto a matching envelope.

Our Great Impressions August Challenge, Add A Sentiment, is still going strong, check it out!   And remember to upload your Great Impressions creations into our Customer Gallery.  Prizes will be awarded at the end of the year for some lucky participants!

Thanks so much for coming by!

Enjoy~~

Sending You A Line

Hello again, friends!  It's Monday, so that means I get to share another creation with you that uses some fabulous stamps from the Great Impressions online store!  Today I'm sharing a fun card using some of my favorite stamps, and it is so darling!  Take a peek...

I created a water colored and paper pieced scene using F550 Clothes On A Line and D461 Sending You A Line.  I paper pieced the clothes line and added some faux stitching, vintage patterned papers, and doily quarters too.

I just LOVE the way this turned out, and I hope you do, too!  Please let me know your thoughts by leaving a comment below for me to read. :)

Amaryllis

Good day friends! I've got a card to share today which is not my typical style, but sometimes it's fun to stretch yourself. I was going for a more clean "artsy" look on this one- maybe something that could have been painted on a canvas.
I started with some watercolor paper and distress inks for the background. I stamped the E853 Amaryllis in black, then stamped over it in versamark and some clear embossing powder for just a bit of interest. I used D445 Patience for the sentiment, and a few hand stitches finish it off.
What do you think? I'd love to hear from you in the comments below, or through my blog. Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a wonderful weekend and don't forget to link up your Great Impressions cards to the Customer Gallery!

Thursday with Toni

Hello!  And welcome to another Thursday with me on Great Impressions.

Here I used G196 Sunflower Garden, stamping it in Memento Toffee Crunch for a no-line coloring effect.  I then used Copics to color the image.  I am so very pleased with the pots especially.  Notice the dimensional ladybug?  I accidentally colored over part of the image's ladybug so replaced it with a red enamel dot and a Sharpie.  I like the effect lots.

Happy Birthday ...

Good morning and Happy Wednesday! Ruza here to share another project featuring the awesome Great Impressions Stamps.

I love all things Country so when I saw the Hat & Boots (E829) in the store I knew I needed to play with them.

First step was to stamp the Hat & Boots (E829) several times with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Kraft cardstock. I then pulled out my Copic Markers to color each piece, fussy cut them out, and layer it back together with 3D Foam Squares and Mini Glue Dots. I wanted to create a 3D effect with the Hat & Boots. It's a little hard to tell in the photo's but it looks truly awesome in person.

I pulled the colors from the boots for the background, including the faux stitching around the edges, added some distress ink around the image, and incorporated some wood DP.

I am always in need of birthday cards so chose the Happy Birthday (C340) sentiment for today's card.

Here's another look at the Hat & Boots (E829) stamp ...
